Join us for our Mom Heart Book Study, “The Mission of Motherhood: Touching Your Child’s Heart for Eternity” by Sally Clarkson.
“A Fresh Vision for Motherhood. No calling is greater, nobler, or more fulfilling than that of motherhood. Every day, as we nurture our children, mothers influence eternal destiny as no one else can. Tragically, today’s culture minimizes the vital importance of a mother’s role. By catching a vision of God’s original design and allowing it to shape your life, you can rediscover the joy and fulfillment to be found in a the strategic role to which God in all his wisdom has called you, for a purpose far greater than you can ever imagine. Discover how understanding God’s purpose and design can empower you to be the mother you long to be.”

“Every mom needs a break now and then. You need a weekend away just for you. A time to be refreshed, revived, and renewed–to fellowship, and to share hearts and lives, with other wholehearted mothers like you. Since 1998, Sally has offered a two-day hotel getaway as a ray of light in the gray of winter for thousands of Christian moms in eight states.
Sally Clarkson has faithfully championed the mission and ministry of biblical motherhood for over two decades. You will be inspired, encouraged, and renewed by her talks. Her theme this year is Hope Changes Everything ~ Think Different. Live Different. Make a Difference. The new Renew My Heart Getaway is a personal time of heartfelt messages, personal fellowship, inspirational worship, a luncheon together, book tables, and more. So follow the light this winter. Come to a Renew My Heart Getaway and find the hope that will make you and your home different.”

10 years ago Nathan and I moved here with our three little boys – three months to three years old. We were once again in a place far away from family and friends. I knew I was good at delivering babies, but I was still working on the mommy-ing part. I wanted desperately to love my husband and children well, to know how to nurture and disciple little lives, and to know well His grace and love as I stumbled along. A friend slipped me a website address one day, and I never would have thought that 10 years later I would still be sitting at the feet of such a great mentor AND have the opportunity to slip my own emails to other mommas.
I would love for as many moms as possible to join myself and other ladies from MPC this January 27-28 at a Sally conference! Contact Anastasia Stephan or Melanie McDade for more details.

Hello MPC! We wanted you as a congregation to hear what we have been able to accomplish this summer for our two service projects!
In June, we had a clothing swap/drive. At the end of the swap, we collected everything that was left over and donated over 600 pieces including 18 jewelry sets, 10 suits and over 96 items of work clothing to a women’s charity here in the Springs. They use the donations to clothe women in need for job interviews and help them have clothes for the new positions they get hired for!
In July, our fellowship was a drive for a service project called “Backpacks for the Homeless in Memory of Kevin O’Brien”. This project was brought to the ladies during our April Retreat and we thought it would be a great idea to carry it over to one of our monthly women’s fellowships. We had 8 ladies attend the fellowship and donate a large quantity of items including backpacks, water, soaps and food. We also several members of our generous congregation bring donations in during services after the event. We are so blessed to be able to donate so faithfully to those in need.
Keep an eye out for announcements about the service project the women of MPC have chosen to begin!
Women often struggle with finding time to spend in the Word and we want you guys to be able to find out about different types of devotionals to help with that, as well as learn more about each other! Join us August 12 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at MPC for our Devotional Potluck. Bring your favorite devotional and a potluck to share! You will NOT be asked to stand up and talk to a room full of people (unless you want to), but you can tell the other ladies at your table what you are loving about the devotional that you are using right now. Looking forward to seeing you there!
For our July women’s fellowship, we will be working on a service project that was introduced to us during the Restoration Retreat this spring. We are asking for donations for “Backpacks for the Homeless in Memory of Kevin O’Brien” and on July 8, we will be putting together these backpacks. Next, the backpacks will be taken to Denver and given to the organization in charge of distribution. The supplies will then be passed out by volunteers to the homeless community in December. Here is the list of items needed for the backpacks-
Fleece Blanket Rolls
Toothpaste (travel size)
Individual Kleenex Packets
Peanut Butter/cheese Crackers
Soup/Ravioli (pop top lid, not condensed soup)
Individual Fruit Cup
Tuna Fish Kit
Small Jar or Single Serving Containers Peanut Butter
Travel size shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotion, etc.
Also, they are in need of sleeping bags to hand out.
If you have questions about the “Backpacks for the Homeless in Memory of Kevin O’Brien” service project, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can give you some more information.
We are also going to be brainstorming for an ongoing service project (or a few) for the MPC Women’s Group to get started here in our community. Here are a couple of ideas I have gotten already-
Backpacks for homeless here in Falcon
Food cartons for children in need in Falcon
We will need more ideas and each of you have gifts that can help us get our service project going.
Bring a snack to share and lets put our heads together to begin helping the community!
See you on July 8th at MPC at 6:00pm.
Ladies!! June is our clothing swap fellowship! On June 17, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, we will be shopping for “new to you” clothes, shoes, and accessories. All of us probably have items that we need to get out of our closets and this is a great way to do it while freshening up your own look. Bring in pieces that are clean and in good condition so that we can hang them up or table display them so that others will be able to go through them and take home some new pieces! Even if you do not need any “new to you” items, come anyways! Shopping is more fun with friends and it will be a great time to have some laughs. There will be snacks and drinks provided for that exclusive shopping experience! At the end of the evening, all of the clothing left over will be divided up and donated to different shelters. We will have such a wonderful time “shopping” together and the event will help some ladies in need at the end. If you already have clothes ready to donate, you can put them in the large blue bin near the welcome table at church on Sunday mornings and the set up crew can take care of them for you!
