What we can do…(Praying for the Gaskie's)

Never cease to pray!

In all things, by prayer…with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.

Believe that He can!

Sing praises!

And…encourage one another daily! (Hebrews 13:13a)

I am asking you (whoever and wherever you are) to join me in what may seem like a small thing but Trust that the God who takes the mustard seed of faith and moves mountains, that it will prove a very BIG thing.  Will you join me in “writing” (typing) out prayers for Layton and his family (wife: Erin, mom and dad: Sherri and Greg, sister and brother-in-law: Terri and Tommy, 4 other brothers and sister-in-laws, many nephews and nieces…)  They can be one word, one sentence, or however many words God gives you.  They can be your own words or from His Word.  Imagine you were taking a post-it, writing a quick note of prayer for Layton, and sticking it on his hospital room wall.  Cover them all with your love and prayers and thanks and praise and trust and belief in the God Who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine! (Ephesians 3)

*please post your prayers either on the comments section of this post via blog or Facebook.  Thanks Friends!

  1. Father, I pray for this precious family. May they always remember that You are near to them. Make Your presence more known to them now more than ever as they go through this crisis. Give them strength, Your strength. Bring them comfort, God of all comfort. Hold them.

  2. Lord, Please wrap Layton in your ever-loving arms. Bring him the comforting warmth of your love and let your will in his life be done. Bring his medical providers wisdom and hold his family close. Amen.

  3. I am praying for healing and comfort. Healing for Layton, the kind of healing that only comes from our Father, in the nick of time. And comfort for his family. On my knees I am praying! Bless you all!

  4. Someone in our congregation sent an email:

Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. -God

  5. Lord Jesus, touch Layton in his time of need and heal him of these injuries. Restore his vision, and let him fully recover from all his injuries. Praying Lord, guide all those who are treating Layton and give them the wisdom and skill they need to adequately care for Layton and help him with his recovery. We entrust Layton, his family and relatives to You, Lord, and we thank You for all the help and healing that You will bring to the Gaskie/Long family, in Jesus’ name, amen.

“O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” Ps. 30:2
