About the Series

Although studies show people know their Bibles less than ever, the era of twitter and facebook finds people quoting Scripture more than they ever have. This can lead to Twisted Scripture… picking a Scripture and making it fit what we think rather than reading all of Scripture and letting it tell us what to think.

In this series we’re going to take a look at some of our most well known twisted Scriptures and try to get a better understanding of them. They may be Scripture we misquote, or that modern translations don’t quite capture, or verses which have been taught poorly over the years and don’t mean what we have assumed they’ve meant. We will be looking at Scriptures about judging, family issues, and issues of health, wealth, and sex. Don’t miss our look at Twisted Scripture!
